Cookies – rtpslotsguide
This page sets out the small files rtpslotsguide may place on your device while you compare RTP figures across slots, and the choices you have about them.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that sits in your browser so a site can tell it apart on a later visit. Some are needed for a page to work; others count visits or remember settings.
The legal basis in the UK
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), overseen by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), set the legal basis for cookies here. A cookie that’s strictly necessary can be set without asking first; anything else needs consent unless an exemption applies. Where personal data is involved, the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply as well, covered fully in our privacy policy.
Cookies we use
- Essential cookies are what keeps the site functional, such as remembering a setting you’ve chosen. They stay on regardless of what else you clear in the browser.
- Analytics cookies tell us, in aggregate, how many people read a page and how they reached it, without identifying you.
We don’t use cookies for advertising and none of them pass your browsing to a casino operator.
How long they last
Session cookies are deleted on browser close; persistent analytics cookies expire after a set period, no longer than 13 months.
Switching cookies off
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies in its own settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working; blocking analytics cookies has no effect on reading it.
